Ingredients

  • 8 oz lo mein noodles
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until no longer pink, about 5-6 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. Add the remaining 1 tbsp oil to the pan. Stir in garlic, carrots, and bell peppers. Cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
  4. Return the chicken to the pan. Add the cooked noodles, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Toss everything together and cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Garnish with green onions and serve hot.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken with beef, shrimp, or tofu.
  • Add more vegetables like broccoli or mushrooms if desired.
  • Adjust soy sauce and oyster sauce to taste.
