- 6 cups thinly sliced apples

- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Combine flour, butter, and salt in a bowl. Mix until crumbly.
- Add ice water gradually, stirring until dough forms.
- Divide dough in half, roll out one half for the bottom crust, and place in pie dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
- Pour apple mixture into the crust.
- Roll out the second half of dough and cover the pie. Seal edges and cut slits on top.
- Brush with beaten egg for glaze.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool before serving.
