- 2 cans (21 oz each) apple pie filling
- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Spread apple pie filling evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg over the apples.
- Pour dry cake mix evenly over the apples.
- Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Do not stir ingredients after layering.
- Can substitute apple pie filling with other fruit fillings.
- Serve warm with ice cream if desired.
