  • Author: ushinzomr

Description

Celebrate Easter with these delightful deviled eggs, perfectly seasoned and beautifully decorated for the holiday.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Paprika for garnish
  • Chopped chives or parsley for garnish
  • Food coloring (optional for decorating)

Instructions

  1. Hard boil the eggs by placing them in a pot, covering with water, and bringing to a boil. Once boiling, cover and remove from heat, letting them sit for 12 minutes.
  2. Transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool for about 5 minutes. Peel the eggs once cool.
  3. Slice the eggs in half lengthwise and remove the yolks, placing them in a mixing bowl.
  4. Mash the yolks with a fork and add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  5. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
  6. Garnish with paprika and chopped chives or parsley.
  7. If desired, divide the mixture and use food coloring to dye portions of the filling for a fun Easter twist.
  8. Serve chilled.

Notes

  • For a twist, add avocado or bacon bits to the yolk mixture.
  • You can color the egg whites by dipping them in food coloring for a festive look.
