Description

Classic deviled eggs with creamy filling and a hint of spice.


Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Paprika for garnish
  • Chives or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Once boiling, cover the pot and remove from heat. Let sit for 12 minutes.
  3. Transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water and let cool for 5 minutes.
  4. Peel eggs and slice in half lengthwise. Remove yolks and place in a mixing bowl.
  5. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, and pepper to the yolks. Mash until smooth.
  6. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
  7. Sprinkle with paprika and garnish with chives or parsley if desired.
  8. Serve chilled.
