- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb Italian sausage
- 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 refrigerated pie crust
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Brown ground beef and sausage in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until softened.
- Stir in tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Line a pie dish with the pie crust.
- Layer half the meat mixture, then half the cheese. Repeat.
- Top with pepperoni slices.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until crust is golden.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Use lean ground beef for less grease.
- Add red pepper flakes for extra heat.
- Substitute with turkey sausage for a lighter version.
