A simple recipe for a juicy and flavorful whole chicken cooked in a crockpot.
Ingredients

- 1 whole chicken (about 4–5 lbs)
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 lemon, halved
- 1 onion, quartered
- 2 cups chicken broth
Instructions
- Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
- Season the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Place the lemon and onion inside the cavity of the chicken.
- Pour the chicken broth into the bottom of the crockpot.
- Place the seasoned chicken in the crockpot, breast side up.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Remove the chicken and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.

- For extra flavor, add herbs like thyme or rosemary.
- Serve with your favorite sides.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
