  • 1 lemon, halved
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 2 cups chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
  2. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  3. Place the lemon and onion inside the cavity of the chicken.
  4. Pour the chicken broth into the bottom of the crockpot.
  5. Place the seasoned chicken in the crockpot, breast side up.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  7. Remove the chicken and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.
