Description

A hearty and flavorful dish made with tender steak, potatoes, and cheese, slow-cooked to perfection in a crockpot.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs beef steak, cubed
  • 4 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the steak cubes.
  2. Layer the diced potatoes at the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Add the browned steak cubes on top of the potatoes.
  4. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper over the steak and potatoes.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Once cooked, top with shredded cheddar cheese and let it melt.
  7. Garnish with sour cream and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add bacon bits before serving.
  • You can substitute sour cream with Greek yogurt.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
