Description

A comforting and hearty chicken noodle soup made easily in a crockpot.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 3 celery stalks, sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups egg noodles

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. Add chicken broth, water, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, thyme, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  4. Remove chicken and shred it with forks.
  5. Return shredded chicken to the crockpot.
  6. Add egg noodles and cook on high for 15-20 minutes until noodles are tender.
  7. Serve hot.
