Description

A simple and flavorful beef and broccoli dish made in a crock pot. Tender beef and crisp broccoli in a savory sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs flank steak, sliced thin
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Place sliced beef in the crock pot.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and beef broth. Pour over beef.
  3. Cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, mix cornstarch and water, then stir into the crock pot.
  5. Add broccoli florets and cook until tender, about 20-30 minutes.
  6. Serve over rice.

  • Slice beef against the grain for tenderness.
