- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
- Beat eggs in another shallow dish.
- Dip each chicken breast in the egg, then coat with the parmesan mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden.
- Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Spoon sauce over chicken and garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
- Use freshly grated parmesan for better flavor.
- Check chicken internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- For extra crispiness, broil for the last 2 minutes.
