  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

These crispy fried chicken wings are the perfect appetizer or main dish, seasoned to perfection and fried until golden brown and crunchy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. Coat each wing in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry the chicken wings in batches for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Make sure not to overcrowd the pot.
  6. Remove wings and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying to ensure crispy wings.
  • You can marinate the wings in buttermilk for a few hours before coating for extra tenderness.
  • Feel free to adjust spices in the flour mixture to suit your taste.
