- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- Coat each wing in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the chicken wings in batches for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Make sure not to overcrowd the pot.
- Remove wings and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying to ensure crispy wings.
- You can marinate the wings in buttermilk for a few hours before coating for extra tenderness.
