Description

A creamy and rich shrimp alfredo pasta dish that’s quick to make and perfect for a weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  4. Stir in parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Cook until sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add cooked pasta and shrimp back to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
