- 8 oz (225 g) pasta of your choice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes and stir well. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add heavy cream to the skillet and mix until combined. Stir in dried basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Allow the sauce to simmer for another 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, and toss until the pasta is well-coated.
- Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and creamy.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
Notes
- Feel free to add cooked chicken or vegetables for extra protein and flavor.
- For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
