Delicious and crispy crab cakes made with lump crab meat, breadcrumbs, and a blend of seasonings. Perfect for a starter or main dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lump crab meat
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, parsley, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, salt, pepper, and beaten egg.
  2. Gently mix until just combined, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
  3. Form the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add crab cakes to the skillet, cooking for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  6. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
