Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef, onion, and garlic in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Transfer the beef mixture to a crockpot.
  3. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the crockpot. Stir well.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
  5. Add broken lasagna noodles and cook for an additional 30 minutes, or until noodles are tender.
  6. Serve hot, topped with ricotta, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese.
