These cottage cheese bagels are a delicious and healthy alternative to traditional bagels. Made in the air fryer, they are quick, easy, and a perfect breakfast or snack option.

- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
- Sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning for topping
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, flour, egg, baking powder, salt, and optional garlic and onion powder. Mix until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into four equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball and then poke a hole in the center to form a bagel shape.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the bagels in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching. If needed, work in batches.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning on top of each bagel.
- Air fry the bagels for 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a sweeter bagel, you can add a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup to the dough.
- These bagels can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in the air fryer at 300°F (150°C) for a few minutes for a fresh taste.
