Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
  • Sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning for topping

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, flour, egg, baking powder, salt, and optional garlic and onion powder. Mix until a dough forms.
  2. Divide the dough into four equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball and then poke a hole in the center to form a bagel shape.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Place the bagels in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching. If needed, work in batches.
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning on top of each bagel.
  6. Air fry the bagels for 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a sweeter bagel, you can add a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup to the dough.
