Instructions

  1. Place the corned beef in a large pot.
  2. Add the garlic, onion, peppercorns, and bay leaves.
  3. Pour in the beef broth until the meat is covered.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2.5 hours.
  5. Add potatoes and carrots, cooking for an additional 30 minutes.
  6. Add cabbage and cook for 15 more minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before slicing the beef.
  8. Serve hot with vegetables.
