Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk and egg.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Insert skewers into each hot dog, leaving a handle to hold.
- Dip each hot dog into the batter, ensuring it is well-coated.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Place the coated corn dogs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add spices like paprika or cayenne pepper to the batter.
- Make sure to keep the hot dogs as dry as possible before dipping to ensure the batter sticks.
- You can also use mini hot dogs for bite-sized corn dogs.
