Ingredients

- 1 lb flank steak, sliced thin
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Slice the flank steak into thin strips.
- Coat the beef strips in cornstarch.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Cook the beef until browned, then remove from the pan.
- In the same pan, add garlic and ginger, sauté briefly.
- Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, and water. Simmer until thickened.
- Return beef to the pan and coat with the sauce.
- Garnish with green onions and serve.
Notes
- For extra tenderness, marinate the beef in soy sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Adjust sugar to taste if you prefer less sweetness.
