Ingredients

- 500g halal ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 400g canned tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 12 lasagna sheets
- 250g ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 50g grated halal mozzarella
- 50g grated halal cheddar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Brown beef with onion and garlic in a pan.
- Add tomatoes, paste, herbs, salt, and pepper. Simmer 15 minutes.
- Mix ricotta with egg.
- Layer meat sauce, pasta sheets, and ricotta in a baking dish.
- Top with mozzarella and cheddar.
- Bake 30 minutes until golden.
Notes
- Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
- Substitute beef with lamb for variation.
