Description

Ingredients

  • 500g halal ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 400g canned tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 lasagna sheets
  • 250g ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 50g grated halal mozzarella
  • 50g grated halal cheddar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Brown beef with onion and garlic in a pan.
  3. Add tomatoes, paste, herbs, salt, and pepper. Simmer 15 minutes.
  4. Mix ricotta with egg.
  5. Layer meat sauce, pasta sheets, and ricotta in a baking dish.
  6. Top with mozzarella and cheddar.
  7. Bake 30 minutes until golden.
