Ingredients

  • 4 dozen fresh clams, scrubbed
  • 2 lbs mussels, cleaned
  • 2 lbs shrimp, deveined
  • 2 lbs small potatoes, halved
  • 6 ears corn, husked and cut in half
  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Water (for steaming)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, add enough water to steam the clams and bring to a boil.
  2. Add the potatoes to the pot and cover, cooking for about 10 minutes until they begin to soften.
  3. Add the corn and sausage to the pot, cover, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the clams, mussels, shrimp, garlic, salt, and pepper. Cover the pot and steam until the clams and mussels open, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve with lemon wedges.
