Description
A traditional New England clam bake featuring fresh clams, seafood, and vegetables steamed together for a delicious and hearty meal.

- 4 dozen fresh clams, scrubbed
- 2 lbs mussels, cleaned
- 2 lbs shrimp, deveined
- 2 lbs small potatoes, halved
- 6 ears corn, husked and cut in half
- 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Water (for steaming)
Instructions
- In a large pot, add enough water to steam the clams and bring to a boil.
- Add the potatoes to the pot and cover, cooking for about 10 minutes until they begin to soften.
- Add the corn and sausage to the pot, cover, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Stir in the clams, mussels, shrimp, garlic, salt, and pepper. Cover the pot and steam until the clams and mussels open, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve with lemon wedges.
