A delicious recipe for homemade cinnamon rolls.
Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted (for filling)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour, sugar, butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until combined.
- Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread melted butter on top.
- Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar over the butter.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish. Let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk to make icing. Drizzle over warm rolls.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Reheat rolls in the microwave for a few seconds.
- Feel free to add nuts or raisins to the filling.
