  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted (for filling)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour, sugar, butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until combined.
  3. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread melted butter on top.
  6. Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar over the butter.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  8. Place rolls in a greased baking dish. Let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes.
  10. Mix powdered sugar and milk to make icing. Drizzle over warm rolls.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
  • Reheat rolls in the microwave for a few seconds.
  • Feel free to add nuts or raisins to the filling.
