- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- Add melted butter, salt, and eggs to the yeast mixture. Stir to combine.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over the dough.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over the buttered dough.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut into 12 equal pieces.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- For the icing, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
