Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (for filling)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 2 tbsp milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover; let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread melted butter on top.
  7. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over the buttered dough.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and cut into 12 pieces.
  9. Place in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  11. Mix powdered sugar and milk for icing; drizzle over warm rolls.

  • Use fresh yeast for best results.
  • Store leftover rolls in an airtight container.
