  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk, warmed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Add warm milk, melted butter, and eggs, then mix until combined.
  3. Gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  6. Once risen, roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  7. Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  8. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 12 equal pieces.
  9. Place the rolls into a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  11. While the rolls are baking, prepare the icing by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  12. Once baked, drizzle the icing over warm cinnamon rolls and serve.
