Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Scoop the dough into balls and roll them in granulated sugar, then place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding chopped chocolate or caramel pieces into the dough.
- Make sure not to overbake the cookies; they should look slightly underbaked in the center when you take them out.
