Description
Christmas spritz cookies are classic holiday treats made with a buttery dough pressed through a cookie press into festive shapes.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Food coloring (optional)
- Sprinkles for decoration (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F
- Cream butter and sugar together
- Beat in egg and vanilla
- Mix flour and salt separately
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture
- Fill cookie press with dough
- Press cookies onto ungreased baking sheets
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden
- Cool on wire racks
