- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Mix olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic, rosemary, and thyme in a bowl.
- Rub the mixture all over the prime rib.
- Place the roast in a roasting pan, bone side down.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (163°C).
- Continue roasting until the internal temperature reaches your desired doneness (135°F for medium-rare).
- Remove from the oven, cover with foil, and let it rest for 20 minutes before slicing.
