Ingredients

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Whisk dry ingredients together, then gradually mix into wet ingredients.
- Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness on floured surface.
- Cut shapes with cookie cutters.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool completely before decorating.
Notes
- Chill dough for 30 minutes if too soft to roll.
- Use royal icing or colored sugars for decoration.
