Ingredients

  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and salt to the mixture.
  3. Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  7. Spread softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon over the dough.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and cut into 12 pieces.
  9. Place in a greased baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
  10. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Mix powdered sugar, cream cheese, and milk to make icing.
  12. Drizzle icing over warm rolls before serving.
