Ingredients

- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Once boiling, stop stirring and let it cook until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and nuts.
- Pour mixture onto a greased baking sheet.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and let them melt.
- Spread melted chocolate evenly and let it cool.
- Break into pieces and package as gifts.
