Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes. Slice them thinly using a mandoline or sharp knife.
  2. Soak the potato slices in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  3. Drain and pat the potato slices dry with a paper towel.
  4. In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, salt, and any optional seasonings until evenly coated.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
  6. Place the potato slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they don’t overlap.
  7. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the chips are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove the chips and let them cool on a wire rack. Serve immediately.

  • Make sure to cut the potato slices evenly for consistent cooking.
