  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pita bread or flatbreads for serving
  • Toppings: sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, lettuce, and tahini sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, yogurt, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat your grill or a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off.
  4. Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill or skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it thinly.
