Description

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb), sliced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken slices and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onions until soft, then add garlic and mushrooms. Cook until mushrooms release their liquid.
  4. Sprinkle flour and paprika over the mushrooms, stirring for 1 minute.
  5. Slowly pour in chicken broth, stirring to create a smooth sauce.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet and simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Reduce heat, stir in sour cream, and heat through without boiling.
  8. Season with salt and pepper, garnish with parsley, and serve.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, simmer longer or add more flour.
  • Substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream if preferred.
