A delicious and easy chicken marsala recipe made in a crockpot.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup marsala wine
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Sear the chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  3. Transfer chicken to the crockpot.
  4. Add mushrooms, onion, and garlic on top of the chicken.
  5. Pour marsala wine and chicken broth over the ingredients.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  8. Shred the chicken before serving.
