A delicious and comforting dish of spiced chicken kofta served with a creamy garlic yogurt sauce. Perfect for a hearty meal.

- 500g ground chicken
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 cloves garlic, grated
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a bowl, mix ground chicken, onion, minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cayenne, parsley, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into small oval-shaped koftas.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and lightly brown the koftas on all sides.
- Transfer the koftas to a baking tray and bake for 15-20 minutes until fully cooked.
- In a separate bowl, mix yogurt, grated garlic, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt to make the sauce.
- Serve the koftas warm with the garlic yogurt sauce.
Notes
- You can grill the koftas instead of baking them.
- Adjust the spices to suit your taste.
- Let the koftas rest for 5 minutes before serving for better texture.
