  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion, carrots, and celery. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Stir in garlic, thyme, and rosemary. Cook for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and stir in shredded chicken and heavy cream. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in melted butter and milk until just combined.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the dumpling batter into the simmering chicken mixture. Cover and cook for 15 minutes without lifting the lid.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
