  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet.
  3. Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side or until fully cooked and no longer pink in the center. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  6. Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly.
  7. Slice the chicken and place it on top of the pasta. Season with nutmeg, if using, and garnish with chopped parsley.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
