- 1 cup uncooked white rice
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
- 2 cups water
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion and bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until softened.
- Stir in rice, cream of mushroom soup, water, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Transfer mixture to a greased casserole dish.
- Cover and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove cover, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake for 10 more minutes.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
