- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup uncooked white rice
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened.
- Stir in uncooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Transfer mixture to a greased casserole dish.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil, sprinkle shredded cheese on top, and bake for another 10 minutes.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a creamier texture, add an extra 1/4 cup of milk.
- Substitute ground turkey for a lighter version.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
