- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cheddar cheese soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- 2 tbsp chopped pickles (optional)
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the diced onion and minced garlic until the beef is fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the cheddar cheese soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper until well combined. Cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Spread the beef mixture in an even layer in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Top with a layer of frozen tater tots, arranging them evenly over the beef mixture.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the tater tots.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy.
- If desired, top with chopped pickles and fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add other toppings like diced tomatoes, lettuce, or bacon bits after baking for a fun twist.
- This casserole can be made ahead of time and assembled, then stored in the fridge until ready to bake.
