Description

Tender beef brisket slow-cooked until caramelized, perfect for sandwiches, tacos, or as a main dish.


Ingredients

  • 3 lbs beef brisket
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sear the brisket on all sides until browned.
  3. Remove brisket and set aside. Add onions and garlic, sauté until softened.
  4. Stir in beef broth, brown sugar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt.
  5. Return brisket to the pot, cover, and transfer to the oven. Cook for 4 hours until tender.
  6. Shred the meat using two forks. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra caramelization, broil the shredded meat for 2-3 minutes before serving.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
