Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup toffee bits
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (for drizzle)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk to the butter mixture, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Fold in caramel sauce and toffee bits.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cake cool before drizzling with warmed heavy cream mixed with extra caramel sauce.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • For extra crunch, sprinkle additional toffee bits on top before serving.
