Description
A fresh and simple Caprese Sandwich with mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil on crusty bread.
Ingredients

- 2 slices of crusty bread (like ciabatta or baguette)
- 4 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
- 1 large ripe tomato, sliced
- 6–8 fresh basil leaves
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp balsamic glaze (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Slice the bread and lightly toast it if desired.
- Layer the mozzarella slices on one slice of bread.
- Add tomato slices on top of the mozzarella.
- Place fresh basil leaves over the tomatoes.
- Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze (if using).
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Top with the second slice of bread and press gently.
- Cut in half and serve immediately.

- Use fresh, high-quality ingredients for best flavor.
- Add a sprinkle of oregano for extra flavor.
- Best enjoyed fresh but can be wrapped for short storage.
