Ingredients

- 4 medium sweet potatoes
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Peeled and cut sweet potatoes into cubes.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in brown sugar, water, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Pour the glaze over the sweet potatoes in a baking dish.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until caramelized.
Notes
- Serve warm as a side dish.
- Can be topped with marshmallows for extra sweetness.
