A sweet and delicious side dish made with sweet potatoes and a sugary glaze.

- 4 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large pot, boil sweet potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes.
- Drain the sweet potatoes and place them in a baking dish.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and water.
- Pour the mixture over the sweet potatoes.
- Bake for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are caramelized.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a splash of vanilla extract.
- You can substitute maple syrup for brown sugar.
- Serve warm for the best taste.
