Description

A flavorful one-pan dish combining Cajun-spiced shrimp and steak for a quick and easy meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into strips
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season steak strips with Cajun seasoning, paprika, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Add steak to skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add butter, bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  5. Add shrimp and remaining Cajun seasoning. Cook for 2-3 minutes until shrimp turn pink.
  6. Return steak to skillet and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute to heat through.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Adjust cayenne pepper for more or less heat.
  • Serve over rice or with crusty bread.
  • Use fresh shrimp for the best texture.
