Description

A flavorful Cajun shrimp and sausage pasta dish with a creamy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 12 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add shrimp and Cajun seasoning. Cook until shrimp turn pink, about 3 minutes.
  5. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  7. Add Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir until cheese melts.
  8. Toss in cooked pasta and mix well.
  9. Garnish with parsley before serving.

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste.
