Description
Burgers are juicy, flavorful burgers with a crispy cheese crust that forms around the edges. Perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 tbsp butter (for toasting buns)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into thin patties.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on one side of each patty.
- Fold the edges of each patty inward to encase the cheese, forming a ball.
- Flatten the stuffed patties to about 1/2-inch thickness.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side.
- While the patties cook, butter the buns and toast them lightly in a separate pan.
- Serve the burgers on toasted buns with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- Use high-fat ground beef for juicier burgers.
- Don’t press the patties while cooking to keep them tender.
- For extra crispiness, let the cheese crust form undisturbed for the last minute of cooking.
