Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 tbsp butter (for toasting buns)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into thin patties.
  3. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on one side of each patty.
  4. Fold the edges of each patty inward to encase the cheese, forming a ball.
  5. Flatten the stuffed patties to about 1/2-inch thickness.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. While the patties cook, butter the buns and toast them lightly in a separate pan.
